2.30-3.30 talk from MJ from Brighton Voices in Exile community outreach project in central Brighton providing practical aid and support for asylum claimants.
3.30-5 Workshop by No Borders member on situation in Calais since the closing of Sangatte HCR centre in 2002, the resulting shift in French and British border policies and its consequences for migrants there. Followed by a discussion on why the situation in the UK is so different from that in France.
There will also be a photo exhibition of work from activist photographer Julie Rebouillat taken during the summer of 2008 in Calais, France.
