600 workers at the Vestas wind turbine factory in Newport on the Isle of Wight were laid off on Monday July 20th. In response, a group of workers occupied the plant while others maintained a picket outside, joined by climate campers. This meeting is to organise practical support for the occupiers and their struggle to defend jobs and the environment.
