Open forum on the question of anti-semitism

Last summer during Israel's attack on Lebanon, the police accused peace activists of deliberately provoking Hove's Jewish community, by staging the start of a ceasefire demonstration in Palmeira Square. The police also claim that an anti-semitic incident took place on a previous demonstration. SAfP vigorously refutes these allegations.
More recently, British trade unions have been attacked and labelled anti-semitic in the media by supporters of Israel, for adopting boycotts of Israeli goods and institutions in solidarity with the Palestinians.
And only last week, Channel 4 broadcast a programme in which the right wing columnist Richard Littlejohn attempted to show that a wave of anti-semitism was sweeping Britain. His targets? Muslims and the antiwar Left.
What's going on? Is this a concerted campaign to undermine the opponents of Israel and its backers Bush & Blair (now Brown)? We aim to answer the question in our discussion at this open forum of Sussex Action for Peace, which will be introduced by Tony Greenstein.
All welcome
STOP PRESS: ... SAfP also meets 7.30 Tues. 24 July B'hlem, to discuss
