BIG day of action on the Climate Change Bill
When - Saturday 5. April from 2:00pm until 4:00 pm .
Where - Royal Pavilion Gardens .
Organised by - World Development Movement, Friends of the Earth, and Brighton Climate Change.
Come to Royal Pavilion Gardens this Saturday 5th April from 1:30pm to show your support for a tough climate bill. We'll have MPs, lots of publicity, a samba band, a 20-foot inflatable plane and people dressed as air hostesses and aeroplanes. Don't miss this one!
We'll be having a photo-call at 2:30pm with MPs Des Turner & Celia Barlow so make it by this time to be part of the photo. There'll be action cards to sign / give out and a procession throughout Brighton afterwards.
The action's being supported by over 40 Brighton-based organisations and businesses, but we need you. Please come along and lend your presence. You'll be very welcome!
The stunt is part of a nationwide day of action on the climate bill, currently going through its final reading in the House of Commons, calling for emissions from international aviation and shipping to be included, and an increase in targets for the reduction of the UK's CO2 emissions. At the moment Gordon Brown isn't listening to anyone, so we need our MPs to push him on the issue.
